I’ve attempted many rainbow water marbles since my original rainbow marble nails from last year, but always failed.  I never could find the right polishes to work together, but last night I finally found a combo that I was pleased with! 

Colors used: 

Sally Hansen X-treme Wear - Cherry Red, Mellow Yellow, Pacific Blue

China Glaze - Papaya Punch

OPI - Jade Is The New Black, Pamplona Purple

These nails are inspired by this book cover I saw online. I thought all the different colored silhouettes were a really neat idea, and I think they translated ok onto the nail. I don’t really have much to say about these except that American Apparel California Trooper is the base and I NEED MORE. I have like 20% of the polish left. It’s SO gloopy and I am so sad because I love it so much.

galaxy nails. impossible to photograph. seche vite topcoat smoothed out all of the bumps from layering the polishes and gave it a glass finish. 

Dear everyone asking for a galaxy nails tutorial: please, just give it a try! Everyone has a different method! This is definitely my favorite so far, though—the patches of glitter and the depth from the topcoat make it really look like a hubble photo. Just gorgeous.
